Our History

In February of 1986, long-time Nappanee residents Kim & Pam Stickley opened Coast to Coast Hardware.  Two years later, they purchased the True Value store in Nappanee.  They immediately moved the store to a larger location and converted it to Ace Hardware.  Since those beginnings, the business has continued to grow with the addition of Ligonier Ace Hardware in 1993, Six Span Ace in Elkhart in 1997, LaGrange Ace Hardware in 2015, and Bremen Ace Hardware in 2017.

Today, Stickley Ace Hardware is truly a family owned and operated business with the ownership team extending to include Kim & Pam’s son Kyle Stickley, daughter Lisa Bear and their spouses Erin and Jeremy, respectively.  In 2016 Travis Bear, a third generation family member became the manager of Six Span Ace in Elkhart.
